Choice blog #3This Friday my friend started a project to let people know about us in ways people would never except for students to admit. We wore name tags that stated "My Name Is..." and we filled in the blanks for what was different about us. Some people wrote "Virgin", some people wrote "Pro-choice", and some wrote "Feminist". On mine I wrote "Sexual Assault Survivor". I walked around school all day with this tag pinned to my sweat shirt. As I walked I saw people staring at me, Some looked like they were in shock, some where embarrassed, and others just nodded and continued. I pinned this on myself to show people they are not alone. As a survivor I've learned so much. I learned that I'm not alone. So many other men, women, boys, and girls have gone through the same thing I have. After all things are said and done we all have one thing in common. We are strong. We have made it through the impossible and come out victorious. We are survivors.

I thought what you guys did was SO COOL. So many people would be too scared to wear something that personal around, but I saw what you guys did and had some new respect for all of you. If you do it again, let me know and I'll be happy to take part.

Keturah this is awesome, it is so cool that you are basically making your self a figure to look up to and to have people come out as to what has happened to them in the past. You are awesome Keturah!!!
